Schicksalslied IPA
Here is International Phonetic Alphabet for the Brahms.
This [IPA Transcription] is just how I would SPEAK this text.
Sung diphthongs need to be timed - usually the first vowel gets the bulk of the time, with the vanishing vowel produced as late as possible.
In singing, I believe the schwas [upside down letter e] should be brighter, rounder, and more forward: closer to the mute "e" schwa in French (je, le, etc) or even the open, short "e" in English "get".
Th other problematic sound (just like in English) is "r" - the normal looking "r" in the transcription is the one-tap or trilled "r'r - the upside down "r" is the substituted "uh" and I think this needs to NOT change the preceding vowel, and often be replaced by a one-tap, as late as possible "r"
